Fresh Fruits, Vegetables, and Nuts

Fruits

At Vann Farms, we grow a wide variety of fruits, including fresh strawberries, peaches, watermelon, canteloupe, and blackberries, which we harvest and sell at our Farm Market. We also sell fresh blueberries and mayhaws, which are grown locally at other area farms.

Vegetables

We grow, harvest, and sell a wide variety of fresh vegetables, including tomatoes, sweet corn, yellow and zucchini squash, eggplant, a variety of peppers, okra, and onions. We also sell fresh garden peas, butterbeans, okra, sweet corn, and sweet potatoes which are grown locally at other area farms. During the fall season, we offer fresh pumpkins, Indian corn, and decorative squash.

Nuts

We grow hundreds of acres of peanuts at Vann Farms, and throughout the summer months, we offer freshly boiled peanuts, a southern favorite.

During the fall and winter season, we offer freshly harvested pecans, both shelled and unshelled, which are grown locally at other area farms.

Although the exact growing season varies slightly from year to year, depending upon weather conditions, following are the approximate time periods during which our fruits, vegetables, and nuts are available:

Flowers and Herbs

Flowers

Seasonal u-cut flowers are a tradition at Vann Strawberry Farms. During the spring, summer, and fall seasons, we grow a variety of flowers which are avilable for cutting and purchase.

Come see our colorful sunflowers, zinnias, and strawflowers.

Herbs

Nothing tastes better than a home-cooked meal seasoned with fresh garden herbs.

We have parsley, basil, rosemary, chives, thyme, dill, mint, and nasturtium just waiting to be picked.

Seasonal Wreaths and Trees

During the fall and winter season, we offer a variety of unique and beautiful hand-made wreaths, which incorporate plants and herbs grown on our Farm.

During the Christmas season, we offer a large selection of freshly cut and potted Christmas trees. We also offer fresh greenery.
